Strap On!

Have you ever tried to preform an asan and just can't make it? Take ego out of the equation and use tool; blocks, blankets, straps, to name a few. I was working on cat-bow with some very dedicated clients (5 minutes!). They found it quite challenging to keep their elbows in. Then I had them work on it using a strap as in the pictures. It prevent the elbows from splaying, making the asan easier, allowing you to focus on the benefits it provides.
Yoga is not a competition. Use tools to prevent injury and allow you to reach that next level on your personal journey. Shanti
